Filipinos do not favor Arroyo's bid as Pampanga representative

IBON Survey | 20 February 2010 | Reference: Rosario Guzman, IBON Executive Editor -- Only 6.2% said that they were in favor of Pres. Arroyo staying in government as a representative.

Most Filipinos are not in favor of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to stay in government as Pampanga representative, the latest IBON nationwide survey shows.

Asked if they were aware that the president is running for Congress in May, 82% of respondents said yes. Of these respondents, only 6.2% said that they were in favor of Pres. Arroyo staying in government as a representative, while 86% were not in favor.

The January 2010 nationwide survey was conducted on January 9-17 using multi-stage probability sampling scheme. The latest survey has a margin of error of plus or minus three percent. (end)
